Come, Oh Messiah! Survival Plan

Something has been on my mind lately.  The longing in every person's heart for hope.  The world is crying out desperately in darkness. We desire hope, but where can we turn? Where can we find hope in the chaos? What is our survival plan in and above the circumstantial swirl around us?

Two words...

Messianic Prophecy

Those words are big and scary to me because they are for people who have theology degrees or who are in seminary. Maybe even they are for those who are at the Wailing Wall in Israel. I'm just an ordinary chick, flawed in many ways, but desperately loving and keeping watch for my Messiah.

However, I will not shrink away regardless of my abilities or inabilities.  I will go forth and lean into the Lord's promise in Isaiah 55.

Lord, do what you will with your Word. I trust in your faithfulness to bring about what you want through these fractured words. Your Word stands forever. Amen
As the rain(AF) and the snow

    come down from heaven,
and do not return to it
    without watering the earth
and making it bud and flourish,(AG)
so that it yields seed(AH) for the sower and bread for the eater,(AI)
11
so is my word(AJ) that goes out from my mouth:
It will not return to me empty,(AK)
but will accomplish what I desire
and achieve the purpose(AL) for which I sent it.

What I would like to explore on this blog from here on out is this...

Who is Messiah?
What should we be looking for?
Why should we care?
How is this hope?

For me, I'm a Christian, so I believe Messiah to be Jesus Christ. Therefore, I am looking, praying, watching, and hoping  for His return.

Maybe you don't believe at all in anything. Great! Let's dialogue about why a Messiah provides the only HOPE that the world truly needs.

Perhaps you are a Jew. Awesome! Welcome, let's look at the Old Testament prophecies together and see if there is anything in the Christian New Testament that matches up.

Perhaps you are in another religion. Welcome! Maybe we can learn together.

Questions, comments, prayers--Awesome, put it in the comments section! I want to have an open dialogue about this.

Lord, bring your kingdom here as it is in heaven!
